| | | | BUT WHAT ABOUT THE BOXED WINE? We have never been fans of the typical wine + cheese art opening. So when our friends at ORONOCO decided to launch their new luxury rum in San Francisco, we knew that we had a match! Instead of boxed wine, guests at the GROUP SHOW opening will be sipping complimentary Mojitos + Caipirissimas. ORONOCO is the first luxury rum from Brazil, made from fresh-cut mountain cane, and blended with a hint of aged rums to round out its finish. This is the good stuff! ;-) We are also VERY excited about the special limited-edition label design by our current artist-in-residence, art legend VULCAN, that will be unveiled at the opening. More on this the day before the show! | | | Our friends at Oronoco have made a nice donation to Best Buddies (who are hosting this art show), and START SOMA will also be auctioning off a bunch of artwork from GROUP SHOW ARTISTS in support of this great non-profit. I have worked with BEST BUDDIES for the last 15 years, and they are an absolutely top-notch organization. To help support their efforts, we have collected some great artwork that will be included in a special silent auction at the opening, with 100% of the winning bids going directly to BEST BUDDIES. -- John Doffing | |
